SLU-PP-332 is a synthetic pan-agonist of the estrogen-related receptors (ERRα, ERRβ, and ERRγ), a family of orphan nuclear receptors involved in cellular energy metabolism. Acting as an exercise mimetic, it upregulates PGC-1α to trigger metabolic adaptations normally induced by aerobic exercise, including enhanced mitochondrial biogenesis, increased fatty acid oxidation, and promotion of fatigue-resistant oxidative muscle fibers. Preclinical studies demonstrate improved exercise endurance, reduced fat mass accumulation, and enhanced insulin sensitivity.
